The Easiest 3 Course Valentine’s Day Dinner
Valentine’s Day often comes with a lot of pressure to have a special and romantic evening, but it’s one of the most crowded nights of the year for restaurants. Instead of waiting for a table in an overcrowded (and likely overly expensive) restaurant, stay home this Valentine’s Day and cook an easy and delicious meal for your loved one!
Entree: Broiled Lobster Tails
Since the holiday is meant to be a special occasion, cook your loved one something more luxurious than usual, such as delicious lobster tails. While your loved one will feel spoiled with the gourmet meal, it is actually very easy to make and only takes 10 minutes! All you need is two lobster tails, butter, garlic powder, smoked paprika, white pepper, and sea salt. Preheat your broiler to high, then start by cutting the top of the lobster tail shell down to the tip of the tail with a knife- making sure to avoid the meat. Then mix your spices in a bowl, sprinkle the mixture on the lobster tails, and add butter along the tails. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, serve with butter, and you’ve got a delicious first course!
Side Dish: Charred Bacon and Broccolini Salad
This salad makes for a great side dish to the lobster tails, as it is warm and packed with flavor. The broccolini is used in place of broccoli as it is less bitter and gives more of a crunch when cooked. This dish is also very quick to prepare, as it only takes two short minutes of prep time, and 15 minutes to cook. You’ll need two slices of bacon, about two packages worth of broccolini, cherry tomatoes, and garlic powder. Chop the bacon and cook until lightly browned, then add the broccolini and stir only occasionally. Wait until the broccolini is slightly charred, then add in cherry tomatoes and garlic powder. Once everything looks nice and charred, you’re ready to serve!
Dessert: Deep Dish Hot Fudge Brownie Sundaes
Valentine’s Day is all about the chocolate! Show your love with delicious hot fudge brownie sundaes, topped with vanilla ice cream for a perfect end to your romantic evening. The recipe includes butter, unsweetened chocolate, chocolate chips, one egg, sugar, salt, vanilla extra, flour, and of course, vanilla ice cream. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Add butter, chocolate, and ½ cup of chocolate chips to a heatproof bowl over a saucepan with barely simmering water, and stir until melted. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar, then the melted chocolate, then salt, vanilla, and flour. Divide the batter into two, bake for about 15-20 minutes, let cool and serve with ice cream.
